“As Christopher’s Director of Studies throughout his time at Robinson College, Cambridge, I found him to be a polite, engaging, interested and dynamic student of Oriental Studies. Christopher was unique, the only person in the UK ever to get a degree in Hindi and Chinese. Christopher had perseverance and determination, and considerable persuasive powers. He was, in short, a character, and his talents and gifts will be much missed by the many people who knew him. I am so sad that his life has been cut cruelly short.”
